Diani - South Coast

Situated in the south of Mombasa lies the south coast. One of the beaches there is called Diani - for me, the most beautiful coastline I have seen anywhere. A seemingly endless stretch of beach, covered with very fine and white sand.

The fauna there is beautiful, too. And there are numerous attractions along the beach road. The "all inclusive" tourism makes most of the visitors stay in their respective hotels. After all, why go out and spend money, when the beer at the hotel bar is already payed for... But let me tell, you: they don´t know, what they are missing. First, there are wonderful places to eat. The costs are less then back home and it makes a great change to the monotonous hotel food. Take a look at a few examples and decide for yourself whether or not it makes sense to take a look at the world outside the hotel walls.

A fairly cheap way to get around: Use the Tuk-Tuk taxies. They are fun(ny).

This old captain will take you out to visit the reef or to go snorkelling.
